Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time. All therapy sessions must be paid in full at the time of service. I am an out of network provider for most insurance plans. This means that you can obtain reimbursement with insurance companies if your particular plan has out-of-network benefits. Most insurance plans with out-of-network benefits will reimburse you 60-90% of my fee when you submit a receipt called a super bill that I provide you.

Why don’t you accept insurance?
  • Approximately 1 in 7 insurance claims get rejected! This often leaves clients with unexpected bills.
  • Insurance only pays for certain types of therapy and may limit the number of sessions they will pay for.
  • A diagnosis is REQUIRED in order to use insurance. Some insurance companies limit the diagnoses they will cover.
  • Insurance Companies can request to access your private health information such as progress notes, diagnoses, assessments, goals, and payment info.
  • Many people have high-deductible insurance plans. This means that until you meet your high deductible, you will pay out of pocket anyway.
  • Paying for therapy out of pocket gives YOU more control over your session. You can CHOOSE to have longer sessions (not typically covered by insurance) which has been proven helpful for certain therapeutic modalities like Brainspotting.
